James Annett

James Annett has over 10 years of professional work experience. In 2020, they began working as a Production Developer for Unito. Prior to this, they were a DevOps Engineer for WorkJam from 2019-2020, where they were responsible for containerizing a chat application to run as a microservice as part of Workjam's stack across multiple cloud environments including Kubernetes, as well as system operations and incident response. From 2018-2019, they were a DevOps Engineer for Peerio Technologies, where they re-architected cloud-based network for high-availability and refactored server application's backend deployment mechanism to a CI/CD, as well as implementing an automated secrets management system for application workers. From 2012-2018, they worked at MindGeek as an Information Security Analyst, Fraud Analyst, and Content Auditor, where their responsibilities included responding to and investigating security incidents, monitoring trends in sales and web site traffic to pinpoint unusual activity, assessing risk levels of online transactions, and monitoring company websites for compliance. From 2009-2012, they worked at Showcare as a Data Entry and Event Finance Assistant, where their responsibilities included office clerical work, bookkeeping, invoice preparation and bank deposits, and training data entry team members.

James Annett graduated from Concordia University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music. In 2015, they completed a course in Mastering Burp Suite Pro.
