Andy Sanders

Andy Sanders is a skilled technical director with more than three decades of experience in metals strip processing and construction, working with several publicly traded companies over the years.

As Senior Project Manager for Unity Aluminum, Andy is responsible for the design, construction, and commissioning of the Unity Aluminum Rolling Mill. This role will represent Unity Aluminum with the Equipment Suppliers and consultants for subjects related to design, construction, installation, and commissioning of the Rolling Mill, as well as administering EPC contracts with support from the Construction Manager.

Before joining the Unity Aluminum team, Andy served as the Technical Director for Process Equipment for the Fluor Corporation Mining & Metals group, where he worked for more than 20 years. During that time, Andy worked directly with clients to develop metals processing equipment requirements, establish greenfield plant designs, improve brownfield plant layouts and collaborate with OEM suppliers.

Additionally, Andy managed the design and construction teams for the Ma’aden Aluminum Rolling Mill facility in Saudi Arabia, which targeted coiled sheet for the beverage can and automotive markets.

Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
