Mike Sapieha

Mike (Przemyslaw) Sapieha is a prominent scientist with extensive experience in the fields of neuroscience and retinal vascular biology. Currently serving as Chief Scientist at UNITY Biotechnology since February 2021, and as Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at SemaThera Inc. since January 2017, Mike has also held various academic positions at Université de Montréal, progressing from Assistant Professor to Full Professor since April 2010. Additionally, Mike contributed as Interim Director at Hôpital Maisonneuve-Rosemont for a short period in 2021 and worked as a Research Biologist at MethylGene Inc. from 1997 to 2000. Educational qualifications include a Postdoctoral Fellowship from Harvard University, a PhD in Neuroscience from Université de Montréal, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from McGill University.
