Kristyn Vitale is an Assistant Professor of Animal Health and Behavior at Unity Environmental University since August 2020. Previously, Kristyn served as a Faculty Research Assistant and Instructor at Oregon State University, focusing on dog-assisted interventions and teaching courses related to animal behavior and cognition. Additional experiences include a postdoctoral scholarship examining cat stress levels and sociability, as well as research fellowship work on cat behavior and human-animal interaction. Kristyn has also held various teaching roles and has contributed to youth education programs on animal behavior, having earned a Ph.D. in Animal Science and Psychology from Oregon State University, a Master's in Environmental Science from Miami University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Social Geography and Zoology from Kent State University.
