Director Employee Experience, Engagement & Talent Management at Univar Solutions

Janet Orge has extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Janet started their career at PSC as a Compliance & Quality Control Manager, where they established and maintained a compliance and quality control program for the Alberta operations. Janet also played an active role in project management and administration.

In 1999, they joined Univar Solutions as a Customer Service Supervisor. Janet'sresponsibilities included responding to customer inquiries and problems, training the customer service team, and collaborating with the sales department. Janet also had additional responsibilities in areas such as purchasing, pricing, billing, and accounts payable.

Janet then moved onto becoming a Purchasing Manager at Univar Solutions, where they managed a group of employees and $17 million of inventory. Janet successfully developed and executed a plan that involved talent review, recruitment, skill development, workload redistribution, and department integration following an acquisition.

Janet'srole then transitioned to a Training Coordinator for the Element Project at Univar Solutions, where they designed and directed the development of system documentation and training materials for a national ERP implementation. Janet also performed needs assessments, scheduled training, and supported over 500 employees across the country.

Janet then became a PMO Specialist - Training at Univar Solutions, where they played a significant role in training and project management.

Janet'snext role at Univar Solutions was Manager - Global Learning Systems. Janet led a global project team in implementing the company's first enterprise-wide learning management system. Janet'sresponsibilities expanded to include leadership development programs, program marketing, onboarding program development, and consulting with various departments and project leads for training program design, development, delivery, and reporting.

Most recently, Janet serves as the Director of Talent Development at Univar Solutions. In this capacity, they oversee talent development initiatives and supports employee engagement and experience.

Janet's work experience demonstrates their expertise in areas such as compliance, project management, customer service, training, and talent development.

Janet Orge has a Master's Certificate in Organization Development & Change from York University, obtained in 2019. Janet also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Guelph, earned between 1992 and 1996. In 2008, Janet pursued Strategic Leadership at the University of Toronto without receiving a specific degree. Janet completed a Certificate in Adult Training & Development from OISE at the University of Toronto in 2007. Moreover, Janet participated in the EnviroEntrepreneur Program with CCHREI at Western University between 1997 and 1998. Janet obtained the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) certification from the Association for Talent Development (ATD) in October 2015.
