Jill Uppal

Jill Uppal, PHR has extensive experience in human resources, spanning over 20 years. Jill started their career as a Recruiting Manager at Silicon Talent (formerly Bozich & Cruz) in 1998. From there, they joined Paychex as a Senior HR Generalist in 2003, where they worked until 2006. Jill then became the Human Resources Manager at iLoop Mobile, Inc., where they were responsible for all aspects of HR. In 2012, they joined Narus Inc as the Director of Human Resources, managing a team and implementing a new performance management system. Currently, they are the Director of Human Resources at Universal Audio, where they lead a team in attracting and retaining employees who are passionate about music technology.

Jill Uppal, PHR, obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Speech Communications with a minor in Business Management from San Jose State University. Jill attended San Jose State University from 1998 to 2002. Prior to this, they pursued their interest in Marine Biology at the University of California, Santa Cruz, from 1995 to 1997, although they did not complete a degree in this field.

In addition to their education, Jill Uppal has obtained several certifications. In January 2007, they earned their Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI). More recently, in March 2021, they completed the "Communicating with Empathy" certification course offered by LinkedIn. In February 2022, they obtained the "Planning for Your Hybrid Organization" certification from LinkedIn, and most recently, in June 2023, they completed the "Hiring and Supporting Neurodiversity in the Workplace" certification, also offered by LinkedIn.
