Rasha Hamze

Senior Research Scientist at Universal Display

Rasha Hamze is a Senior Research Scientist at Universal Display Corporation, where work has been focused on advancing research related to organic and organometallic semiconductors since January 2019. Previously, Rasha worked as a Research Scientist at the University of Southern California from January 2013 to November 2018, contributing to Professor Mark Thompson's lab by developing structure-property relationships and synthesizing luminescent organo-copper dyes for OLEDs and solid-state lighting applications. Earlier experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at American University of Beirut, where Rasha fabricated quantum-dot sensitized photonic crystal solar cells, and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in two distinct labs, where projects ranged from synthesizing sensors to fabricating microstructures. Rasha holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Southern California, awarded in 2018, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the American University of Beirut.
