Sylvana Chan

Sylvana Chan has extensive experience in legal and business affairs within the music industry, currently serving as Vice President of Business & Legal Affairs, Digital at Universal Music Group since August 2011. Prior roles include Manager of Legal & Business Affairs at Sony Music Entertainment Canada and Manager of Business & Legal Affairs at EMI Music Canada. Prior to this, Sylvana worked as Legal Counsel at Autodesk and served as a Foreign Expert Law Professor at Southwest University of Political Science and Law in Chongqing, China, where teaching focused on Legal English and Comparative Health Law. Additionally, Sylvana gained experience as a Student at Law & Legal Counsel with the Ontario Ministry of Health and the Long-Term Care and as a Software Anti-Piracy Administrator at Alias Systems Corp. Sylvana holds an LLB in Law from York University - Osgoode Hall Law School and a BA in Psychology from Western University.
