Icae John Hallenbeck

John Hallenbeck, ICAE has over 30 years of work experience in the amusement park and attractions industry. John currently holds the position of Vice President - Operational Alignment & Compliance at Universal Destinations & Experiences since March 2022. Previously, from June 2018 to March 2022, they served as the Vice President and Executive Director - IAAPA North America at the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA). Before that, they were the Managing Director - Project Development at Hershey Entertainment & Resorts Company from June 2017 to June 2018. From August 2016 to April 2017, John held the role of General Manager - motiongate Dubai, and from July 2015 to August 2016, they served as the Vice President - Revenue Operations at Dubai Parks and Resorts. Prior to that, they worked at Resorts World Sentosa from June 2008 to July 2015, where they held various positions including Senior Vice President - Attractions and Vice President of Park Operations - Universal Studios Singapore. John also has experience from Universal Orlando, Universal Studios Japan, Islands of Adventure - Project Management, and Universal Studios Florida.

John Hallenbeck, ICAE, attended Valencia College from 2006 to 2008, where they studied Hospitality Management. John then went on to the Broadcasting Institute of Maryland from 1988 to 1989, where they obtained a degree in Sportscasting. Prior to that, they attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse from 1984 to 1988, majoring in Communications.
