Dean Smith

Dean Smith is a seasoned publicist with extensive experience in the film industry, currently serving as Senior Publicist in Global Publicity at Universal Pictures since February 2022. Prior to this role, Dean worked at Paramount Pictures from July 2011 to February 2022, advancing from Coordinator in Digital Entertainment to Junior Publicist for International Publicity. Responsibilities included managing complex publicity events, coordinating international media plans, and supporting high-profile projects. Dean’s career began as an Office Assistant at Stardust Brands, and included roles at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and UC Santa Barbara, where Dean honed organizational and leadership skills. Dean holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Communication from UC Santa Barbara.
