Karen Mourad

Karen Mourad has had an extensive career in various legal and human resources roles. Karen began their career as an Attorney at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company in 1989 and worked there until 1997. Karen then joined PetSmart, Inc. as an Attorney from 1998 to 2005. In 2006, they became an Assistant General Counsel at Universal Technical Institute, Inc. and held this role until 2012. In 2015, they were promoted to the position of Regional Director of People Services at Universal Technical Institute, Inc., where they currently oversee the human resource function at 5 campuses. Their responsibilities include employee relations, performance management, training, talent strategy, compliance, and liaising with benefits, compensation, and recruiting.

Karen Mourad has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, which they obtained from 1982 to 1985. Prior to that, they received a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from Hendrix College, from 1979 to 1982. In addition to their formal education, Karen has obtained certifications as a Korn Ferry Leadership Architect (KFLA) Certified Practitioner from Korn Ferry and as a Predictive Index Certified Licensed Analyst from The Predictive Group, both in 2015.
