Santiago Martinez Boggio

Santiago Martinez Boggio is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the fields of thermodynamics, energy, heat transfer, and internal combustion engines. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at Facultad de Ingeniería - Udelar and as an Assistant Professor at Universidad de la República, Santiago has contributed to both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Previous roles include Research Assistant at Universitat Politècnica de València, focusing on electrified powertrains, and Visiting Researcher at the University of Bath and Consiglio Nazionale delle Ricerche, where investigations involved advanced fuel injection and flame propagation techniques. Santiago holds a PhD in Transport Propulsion Systems, two master’s degrees in mechanical and internal combustion engineering, and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad de la República. Professional experience also includes roles as a Mechanical Engineer and Mechanic in motorsport.
