Jaime Vatter G. is a Commercial Engineer at, University of Chile. Ph.D. in Economics, the University of California at Los Angeles ( UCLA ). He served as Rector of the Santo Tomás University between 2007 and 2018, an institution in which he also held the positions of Academic Vice-Rector and Dean of Administration and Economics, between 2000 and 2007. In addition, he was Rector of the Santo Professional Institute and Technical Training Center Tomás ( 2007-2015 ), an institution in which he previously held the position of Academic Vice-Chancellor ( 2004-2007). His career has also been linked to the field of teaching and research. He was an academic in the Department of Economics of the University of Chile, making various publications in academic journals and books. He was President of the Corporation of Private Universities of Chile in two terms, during 2015 and 2018.
