Javier Jesus Sanchez Medina

Javier Jesus Sanchez Medina is a seasoned academic with extensive experience in computer science, currently serving as Associate Professor at Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (ULPGC) since July 2018 and as Head of the Computer Science Faculty. Previously, from November 2003 to December 2020, Javier held the position of Assistant Professor while also engaging in PhD studies as a Becario de Investigación del Gobierno de Canarias. Contributions to the academic community include roles such as Editor in Chief for IEEE ITSS ITSPodcast, General Chair for IEEE ITSC 2015, and Visiting Professor at VisLab srl. Javier completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Intelligent Transportation Systems at ULPGC between 1994 and 2001.
