Juan Felipe Neira Castro

Juan Felipe Neira Castro is a seasoned researcher specializing in energy law and policy, currently serving at Universidad Externado de Colombia since 2012. Previously, Juan Felipe held roles as Legal and Contractual Manager at Agencia Nacional de Hidrocarburos from March 2021 to September 2022 and as a Senior Associate at MANTILLA McCORMICK ASESORES from February 2019 to March 2021, advising on legal and regulatory issues. Juan Felipe’s experience also includes positions with the International Energy Charter as a Research Fellow and Consultant, contributing to significant publications and assessments within the energy sector. Additionally, Juan Felipe has served as Editor for Latin America at Springer Publishing and has lectured at the University of Stirling. Juan Felipe holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Dundee, where research focused on the practical implementation of energy policy.
