Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative technology solutions. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has played a key role in designing hardware for innovative DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Previously, Chris worked as a firmware engineer, developing essential firmware and diagnostic tools for similar products. Experience includes working as an electronics contractor for the Science Alberta Foundation, where responsibilities included electronics design for educational devices, as well as serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Early career experience includes developing control systems for forestry equipment at Grindcom. Chris holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
