Andrea Leisewitz is currently a member of the Scientific Advisory Board at the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) since January 2019 and serves as an Associate Professor and the Director of Integrity, Safety, and Ethics in Research at Universidad San Sebastián in Chile since July 2021. Previously, Andrea held the position of National Director of Applied Research and Innovation at Universidad Santo Tomás (CL) from October 2019 to June 2021, and managed the Ethics and Research Safety office at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile from March 2008 to October 2019. Andrea has experience in teaching courses related to research ethics, innovation in science, and animal welfare across various academic institutions. With a robust educational background, Andrea holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Biological Sciences and various master's degrees in Bioethics and Innovation.
