Jeroen Schoenmaker is a Professor at Universidade Federal do ABC (UFABC) since January 2009, specializing in Basic Sciences, Instrumentation, and Materials Science while also conducting academic research. Prior to this role, Jeroen worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Brazilian Synchrotron Light Laboratory (LNLS) from June 2008 to January 2009, focusing on the influence of effective magnetic anisotropy on magnetic vortices in multilayered systems. Jeroen's experience includes a position as a Guest Researcher at NIST from October 2005 to March 2008, where research involved mapping mechanical stress in patterned and indented silicon substrates using confocal Raman microscopy. Jeroen's academic credentials include a PhD in Physics from USP - Universidade de São Paulo (2001-2005), a Master of Science in Physics from USP (1998-2001), and an undergraduate degree in Physics from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1992-1997).
