Éric Filteau

Vice-Rector for Administration & Finance at Université de Montréal

Éric Filteau is an experienced manager and trained actuary, Éric Filteau has worked at the Université de Montréal since 1998. He held the positions of Director of the Pension Plans Division from 1998 to 2003, Assistant to the Executive Vice-Rector from 2003 to 2006, then Assistant Vice-Rector for Administration from 2006 to 2010. He has been Vice-Rector for Finance and Infrastructure at the Université de Montréal since 2010. In this capacity, he notably chairs the Budget Committee, the Information and Communication Technology Committee, and Crisis Management Committee. He is also Chairman of the Board of the Veterinary University Hospital Center.

Before entering the Université de Montréal, Éric Filteau put his knowledge of employee benefits to the service of various companies in the private sector, including Domtar and Morneau Sobeco. He is a graduate of Laval University in actuarial sciences. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries and holds an MBA from McGill University. He sits on the pension committee of the Bureau de coopération interuniversitaire as chairman and on those of various companies as an independent member.
