Mehdi Mirza

Mehdi Mirza is a Research Scientist at DeepMind since November 2016, with a strong academic and professional background in machine learning and computer vision. Mehdi is currently a Ph.D. student at Université de Montréal, where research focuses on machine learning. Previous experiences include a research internship at Google DeepMind, a software engineering internship at Flickr, and a data scientist role at Atlas Wearables. Education includes a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Université de Montréal, an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from Universitat de Barcelona, and a BSc in Physics from Sharif University of Technology. Additionally, Mehdi has held trainee positions at Idiap Research Institute and worked as a visiting student at MIT, contributing to bio-inspired models of vision and deep learning applications.
