Michael Pecho

Vice-Rector for Alumni Relations & Philanthropy at Université de Montréal

Michael Pecho is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in higher education and philanthropic relations. Currently serving as Vice-recteur aux relations avec les diplômés et à la philanthropie at Université de Montréal since January 2021, Michael previously held significant roles at McGill University, including Executive Director of Primary Gifts and Executive Director of External Affairs at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital. Additionally, Michael was President of Fondation Armand-Frappier (INRS) from August 2011 to July 2013, and Director of Development at the Montreal Children's Hospital Foundation from December 2004 to July 2011. Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Fundraising Officer for UNICEF and as a Lawyer at McConomy, Tremblay, McIninch, MacDougall. Michael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Université de Montréal and completed secondary education at Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf.
