Alain Fortier

Alain Fortier is a senior lecturer in the Department of Information Systems at Université Laval, where courses on digital transformation, IT governance, and digital business strategy are designed and taught. Fortier's expertise includes the exploration of knowledge frameworks such as BIZBOK, COBIT, and ISO standards to facilitate technology adoption while maintaining governance and ethics. Additional roles include serving as a member of the Institutional EdTech Innovation Committee, coordinating training in artificial intelligence for organizational competency development, and co-creating the Business Architecture Program at Classe Affaires FSA ULaval. As a member of the BTM Forum Governing Council and vice president of ISACA Québec, Fortier advocates for professional development in information technology governance and cybersecurity. Previous experiences include serving as an enterprise architect at Revenu Québec and holding various leadership positions in multiple organizations related to business analysis and information technology. Fortier holds an Executive MBA from Concordia University and multiple graduate microprograms from Université Laval and UQAM.
