Grant Vandenberg

Grant Vandenberg is an established academic and industry leader with extensive experience in aquaculture and animal sciences. Since March 2003, Grant serves as a Professor at Université Laval, while simultaneously holding the position of Founding President at Fish for Africa since January 2008, aimed at enhancing food security and alleviating poverty in West Africa through aquaculture. Additionally, Grant has been the Founding President of the Interprovincial Partnership for Sustainable Freshwater Aquaculture Development Inc. since March 2006, fostering collaboration among industry, academia, and government. Prior to these roles, Grant founded PerOs Systems Technologies Inc., where Grant worked as Chief Science Officer until January 2012. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Animal Nutrition and Polymer Chemistry from Université Laval, an MSc in Animal Physiology from the University of Guelph, and a BSc in Animal Sciences from the same institution.
