Normand Voyer

Normand Voyer currently serves as the Directeur scientifique at the Centre d'études nordiques since September 2024 and is a Professor and public speaker at Université Laval since 1996, having delivered nearly 250 presentations of "La chimie de l'amour" in secondary schools and forums across Quebec. Voyer has also been a scientific columnist for Radio-Canada since January 2011, regularly contributing to programs such as Radio-Canada cet après-midi, Dessine-moi un dimanche, and Bien dans son assiette. Previous roles include Directorship at PROTEO from January 2008 to January 2022, Professorship at Université de Sherbrooke from July 1988 to June 1996, and Visiting Scientist at E. I. DuPont De Nemours & Co in 1987-1988. Voyer's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in organic chemistry from Université Laval and postdoctoral training in bioorganic chemistry at UCLA, where earlier studies culminated in a Bachelor of Science in chemistry.
