Tomas Salcedo Albert

Tomas Salcedo Albert is an experienced international cooperation and partnerships advisor currently at Université Laval since January 2022. In addition, Salcedo serves as a columnist and political analyst at El Nacional, focusing on the governance crisis in Venezuela and the significance of transparent institutions for human rights and rule of law. As a senior consultant for UNDP, strategic advisory services have been provided to the Judiciary in Honduras, enhancing judicial management and access to justice. Previous consulting roles include contributions to anti-corruption strategies in El Salvador with UNODC and the formulation of programs for women's services in Guatemala with UNFPA. Salcedo has held various academic and diplomatic positions, including serving in the United Nations and as a diplomat for Venezuela, and holds multiple degrees in international studies and project management.
