Fara Yahya

Fara Yahya, Ph.D., serves as the Director of both the Data Management & Artificial Intelligence Centre and the Centre of Data and Information Management at Universiti Malaysia Sabah since January 2019. In these roles, Fara is responsible for developing platforms for data collection, processing, and management, as well as providing information analysis and strategic reports. Fara has previously held positions as a Senior Lecturer, Senior Information Technology Officer at the Jabatan Digital Negara, and at various ministries within the Government of Malaysia, amassing extensive experience in data management and IT governance. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southampton, an MSc in Information Technology, and a BSc in Information System Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA.
