Suman Sinha Ray, PhD, has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and academic institutions. Currently, they serve as the Lead Discipline Scientist, Complex Fluids Division, at NASA Glenn Research Center. In addition, they work as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Case Western Reserve University and the University of Illinois Chicago, where they teach and conducts research on mass-scale nanomanufacturing and advanced manufacturing. Suman has also served as a Principal Researcher and Senior Researcher at USG, where they led product development efforts and managed the implementation of an "Open Innovation" program. Furthermore, they have held advisory roles and board memberships at various organizations, including SuperCharger Ventures, Soft Matter Association of the Americas, and Woxsen University. Lastly, they have been an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Indore, where they contributed to curriculum development and mentored students.

Suman Sinha Ray, PhD earned a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree from Jadavpur University, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, from 2003 to 2007. Subsequently, from 2007 to 2011, they obtained a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Chicago.
