Frank A. Franklin II, PhD, JD, MPH, FCPP, currently serves as the Interim Health Commissioner for the City of Philadelphia, overseeing a public health department with a budget of approximately $1 billion and 1,000 staff across 12 divisions. Previously, Franklin held the position of Deputy Health Commissioner at the Philadelphia Department of Public Health and has contributed to multiple academic and scientific organizations, including the University City Science Center and the Monell Chemical Senses Center. With a robust background in epidemiology and public health, Franklin has also worked as a faculty member at Oregon Health & Science University and Morehouse School of Medicine. Franklin's extensive experience includes leadership roles at the Multnomah County Health Department and volunteer organizations, alongside a strong educational foundation featuring degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Tufts University, and other prestigious institutions.
