Alayne Benson

Alayne Benson is a Communications Specialist at UCAR, responsible for overseeing external communications and branding strategies for the COMET Program since May 2023. Previously, Alayne served as the AI Communications and Outreach Coordinator at the University of Colorado Boulder, where management of communication strategies and community integration initiatives took place. Earlier roles include Associate Learning Architect at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, where engaging educational content for K-12 was developed, and Employee Communications Specialist at Ball Aerospace, focusing on internal communications for a large employee base. Alayne’s experience also encompasses teaching at the University of Central Florida and extensive work in nonprofit communications and development at the Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens, alongside various positions related to content creation and historical education. Alayne holds a Master of Arts in History from the University of Central Florida.
