Dave Wagner

Dave Wagner is the current Vice President, Information Technology/CIO at University Federal Credit Union. Dave has also previously served as the Vice President, Global IT Infrastructure at CareFusion from September 2013 to May 2015, and as the CIO and SVP at ON Semiconductor from October 2001 to December 2011.

At CareFusion, Dave led the engineering, implementation and ongoing operational activities of CareFusion’s Global IT Infrastructure, a team of approximately 150 IT professionals and an annual operating budget of $50M. Dave was responsible for implementing portfolio management and project initiation processes for Infrastructure initiatives, as well as improving operational management processes and scorecarding resulting in improved levels of service delivery. Dave also championed the augmenting of infrastructure services delivered from offshore delivery center.

At ON Semiconductor, Dave led the global IT function of $3.6B semiconductor company with a global team of over 500 IT professionals and an annual budget of approximately $95 million. Dave was successful in leadership and transformation of global IT organization through repeated periods of economic growth and decline, leveraging capabilities from overseas locations, acquired companies and outside service providers. Dave also implemented and drove IT Strategic Planning and Governance processes that integrated with corporate objectives and functional plans - a process which won the 2007 CIO 100 award for planning process. Additionally, they developed and enhanced delivery capabilities in four off-shore delivery centers, and championed the outsourcing of operational infrastructure activities and assured realization of targeted savings.

Dave Wagner earned a BA in Computer Science from Rice University and a BA in Mathematics from Swarthmore College.
