Biljana Kakaraskoska Boceska is a medical microbiologist with extensive experience in the field, currently serving at the University of Antwerp since October 2021. Biljana holds prominent roles at the Institute of Public Health of the Republic of Macedonia as a Primarius Doctor and has specialties in microbiology, bacteriology, and virology. Additionally, Biljana is an Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the University "Goce Delcev" at Stip and has been involved with the European Committee for Antimicrobial Susceptibility Testing (EUCAST) and the World Health Organization Office at the EU as Deputy of Antimicrobial Resistance Focal Point for Macedonia. Biljana also manages data for the Central Asian and European Surveillance of Antimicrobial Resistance (CAESAR). Educational qualifications include an MD from the University Ss Cyril and Methodius, a Specialist in Microbiology, and a Master of Public Health.
