Dawn Decarlo

Dawn DeCarlo, RHIT, CCS, is an experienced healthcare professional and educator currently serving as an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Cuyahoga Community College since January 2024, where responsibilities include effective classroom instruction and syllabus management. In addition, Dawn has been an Inpatient Coding Educator at University Hospitals since July 2016, demonstrating expertise in various coding regulations and providing training and quality monitoring. Previous roles at University Hospitals include Senior Coding Specialist - Inpatient and Inpatient Coding Quality Analyst, focusing on accurate coding practices and education on medical coding standards. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Communications and Healthcare from Southern New Hampshire University and an Associate of Science in Health Information Management from Cuyahoga Community College.
