Lena L. Grafton, PhD, MPH, CHES, currently serves as the Director of Community Health Engagement at University Hospitals, with previous experience as Program Manager in the same department. Prior to this, Lena held the position of Urban Health Faculty & Student Advisor at Cleveland State University from May 2013 to December 2021. Lena's early career includes roles as Programs Manager at Susan G. Komen for the Cure Northeast Ohio, where management of staff and initiatives spanned a twenty-two county area, and as Director of Urban Health & Community Outreach at St Vincent Charity Medical Center, providing leadership in community outreach efforts. Lena’s academic background includes a PhD in Urban Education and an MPH in Public Health from Cleveland State University, a Certificate in Epidemiology from The Ohio State University, and a B.A. in Business Administration and Management from Ursuline College.
