Sonia Fernandez

Sonia Fernandez currently serves as the Administrative Assistant to the District Chief Strategy Officer at the University Medical Center of El Paso (UMC) since June 2023. Prior to this role, Sonia held various positions at El Paso Health from September 2012 to June 2023, including Program Manager for Engagement and Associate Experience and Senior Team Administrative Coordinator within a managed care organization. Additionally, Sonia worked as a Contracting and Credentialing Lead and Contract Representative, where responsibilities included conducting provider-related research in collaboration with management. Earlier experience includes serving as a Court Clerk at the El Paso County Courthouse from November 2011 to September 2012 and as a Contract Coordinator and Administrative Assistant at Superior HealthPlan from July 2005 to July 2011. Sonia holds a High School Diploma from Montwood High School, completed from 1996 to 1999.
