Lilian Varner currently serves as the Marketing and Media Relations Manager at the University Musical Society since September 2022. Previously, Lilian worked as a Marketing Coordinator at the William L. Clements Library for a brief period and as a U-M Arts & Culture Marketing and Media Assistant at the University of Michigan from January 2021 to April 2022, where responsibilities included managing branding and marketing communications. Earlier experience includes working as a Photographer's Assistant at Picture This..Jackson from 2013 to 2020, a Teller at CP Federal Credit Union, and a Percolator at BIGGBY COFFEE. Lilian holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from the University of Michigan and two Associate's degrees from Jackson College.

UMS believes the performing arts build creativity and expose students to new ways of looking at their world. This support will be used to fund the organization’s K-12 School Day Performances, a series of one-hour field trip opportunities featuring some of the best performing artists from around the world.
