Amit Momaya

Amit Momaya is an experienced orthopedic surgeon currently serving as a Team Physician for UAB Athletics, Legion FC, and Birmingham Bulls at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since 2017. Prior to this role, Amit held a position in orthopedic surgery sports medicine at the Steadman Hawkins Clinic of the Carolinas from 2016 to 2017 and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham between 2011 and 2016, where Amit was the Administrative Chief Resident in 2015-2016. Amit's educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering and Chemistry from Duke University (2003-2007) and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Baylor College of Medicine (2007-2011).
