Kandace Hamilton

Kandace Hamilton, J.D., currently serves as the Director of Investigations at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where responsibilities include overseeing high-stakes internal investigations related to misconduct and compliance within an academic and healthcare setting. With over 14 years of experience in managing sensitive inquiries, Kandace has held several leadership roles, including Director of Compliance and Inclusion at Buffalo Rock Company, where compliance policies were implemented for 2,300 employees and over one hundred workplace investigations were conducted. Prior experience includes establishing the Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Jacksonville State University and serving as Associate Director/Investigator at Tulane University, where Kandace investigated EEO and anti-discrimination complaints. Education includes a Juris Doctorate from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science from Birmingham-Southern College.
