Lara Ianov

Lara Ianov, PhD, currently serves as the Managing Director of the UAB Biological Data Science core and Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham since June 2017. Previously, Lara Ianov held various positions at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, progressing from Bioinformatics Specialist, Scientist I to Scientist III. Lara Ianov earned a Ph.D. in Genetics and Genomics from the University of Florida, where doctoral education was completed between 2012 and 2017. Earlier academic experience includes an undergraduate research assistant role at the Center for Integrative Nanotechnology Sciences at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, as well as an internship at the FDA in 2011. Lara Ianov holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock.
