Derek Ward

Derek Ward possesses extensive experience in data center operations, currently serving as the Manager of OIT Data Center Operations at the University of Alaska since August 2008, where previous roles included Interim Manager and Lead Operator. In addition to technical expertise, Derek has been the Head Coordinator for the Staley Memorial Cup, honoring former Ice Dog Ric Aaron Staley through an annual exhibition game since April 2011. Derek also holds the title of Master of Custodial Arts at Ed's Janitorial Service, Inc., while previously working as a Truck Driver and Head of Maintenance at Corrigan & Sons, Inc. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus in Finance and a minor in Computer Information Systems from the University of Alaska Fairbanks, along with a Bachelor's degree in Business Management from Utica University.
