Fatima Mirza, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as the Director of HR Services and Director of HR Business Services at the University of Alberta since March 2016, where strategic and operational leadership is provided for a cross-functional HR team of 50, managing a $4M budget and overseeing payroll and benefits for over 14,000 employees. Prior experience includes the role of Director of Human Resources at the Regional Recreation Corporation of Wood Buffalo, focusing on HR practices during significant organizational growth, and serving as an Organizational Consultant at Z&H Travel Ltd, where processes were streamlined for revenue and customer retention. Additional expertise was gained as an HR Consultant for Karmazin Products Corporation, administering HR processes for a consortium, and as an Operational Consultant at Michcon Consolidated Gas Company, enhancing workforce performance and employee development. Fatima holds a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Detroit Mercy and another Master of Arts in Industrial Psychology from Osmania University.
