Leah Vanderjagt

Head, Digital Repositories And Data Services at University of Alberta

Leah Vanderjagt has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Leah began their career at Statistics Canada as a GIS/Database Coordinator and Regional Geographer for the 2001 Census. Leah then moved on to the CIHR Institute of Gender and Health as a Research Associate. After that, they worked at the Integrative Health Institute as the Education Programs Lead and PediatricCAM Network Coordinator. Leah'smost recent position was at the University of Alberta, where they served as the Head of Digital Repositories and Data Services. Leah also had a concurrent appointment as the Academic Director of the University of Alberta Research Data Centre.

Leah Vanderjagt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography from the University of Calgary, which they obtained between 1992 and 1997. Leah then pursued a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Alberta, completing it between 2002 and 2004. In 2018, Leah also obtained a certification from the Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education.
