Najia Aftab

Najia Aftab is an experienced instructional designer and educator currently serving as Instructional Designer II at PCL Construction since April 2024 and as an instructor for UX and UI Design courses at the University of Alberta since 2021. Aftab has held various roles including Program Assistant for Digital Technologies and contributed to curriculum and course design for UX and UI Design courses at the same institution. Previously, Aftab worked as a Senior Learning Experience Designer at Lighthouse Labs from January 2022 to March 2024 and as a Learning Facilitator at RED Academy. A significant early career role included serving as a Pre-Service Teacher at Old Scona Academic and Strathcona High School. Aftab's expertise extends to higher education, having lectured and managed projects at the University of the Punjab, alongside leading technology and communication training for UNICEF. Aftab's educational background includes a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Alberta, along with a Master's and Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of the Punjab.
