Zhenyu Zhang

Zhenyu (Joey) Zhang is an experienced academic and hardware engineer with extensive expertise in electrical engineering and design. Currently serving as Academic Teaching Staff at the University of Alberta since September 2019, Zhenyu teaches various courses including Electrical Circuit I, Analog Electronics, and Embedded System Design, while also supervising undergraduate capstone and research projects. Prior to this role, Zhenyu worked at Teradyne from February 2016 to September 2021, contributing as a Hardware Engineer in legacy product design and lead for mmW modules, alongside remote contracting. Previous positions include Senior Hardware Engineer at Bosch USA, Hardware Designer at Advantech Wireless Inc., and RF Designer at SDP Telecom. Zhenyu's academic background includes a Doctorate in RF and microwave from Université de Montréal, a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and a Bachelor's degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
