Cody Decker

Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs at University of Arkansas at Little Rock

Cody Decker is the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Previously, they served as the Chief Information Officer and Assistant Commissioner of the Division of Research & Technology for the Arkansas Department of Education from July 2009 to June 2015. In this role, they were responsible for developing a three-year strategic plan for the division and managing a budget of $13.7 million. Cody also implemented cost-saving measures to account for a reduction in federal funding.

Decker also served as the Network Project Manager for Research & Technology at Dawson Education Cooperative from October 2006 to June 2009. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing network projects and ensuring they were completed on time and within budget.

Prior to their work in education, Decker was the Technical Support Manager at EAST, Inc. from June 2005 to October 2006. In this role, they were responsible for managing the technical support team and ensuring that customer inquiries were resolved in a timely manner.

Decker has a long history of working in leadership roles to improve efficiency and effectiveness in organizations. Cody is an expert in enterprise information systems and has a focus on efficient, effective, and sustainable practices that meet stakeholder expectations.

Cody Decker has a graduate certificate in management development from Harvard University, a Doctor of Philosophy in integrated computing from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, a Masters of Science in information quality from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, and a Bachelor of Science in information science from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. Cody also has a certificate in financial accounting from Harvard Business School Online and certification from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in CDO-1: Foundations for Chief Data Officers. Additionally, they have certification from Coursera in R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox. Finally, they are certified by the EC-Council as a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) and by Cisco as a Cisco Certified Design Associate (CCDA) and Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP).

Cody Decker reports to Christy Drale, Chancellor. They work with Ann Bain - Executive Vice Chancellor & Provost, Joni C. Lee - Vice Chancellor, University Affairs, and Shari Erwin - Chief of Staff.
