Marika Taylor currently serves as Pro Vice Chancellor and Head of the College of Engineering and Physical Sciences at the University of Birmingham since September 2023. Prior to this role, Marika Taylor held various academic positions at the University of Southampton from 2012 to September 2023, including Professor of Theoretical Physics and Head of the School of Mathematical Sciences. Additional experience includes a Fellowship at The Alan Turing Institute from 2018 to 2021, an Associate Professorship at Universiteit van Amsterdam from 2005 to 2012, and a research role at Utrecht University from 2001 to 2004. Marika Taylor began a research fellowship at St John's College, University of Cambridge, from 1998 to 2001, alongside a brief research position at Harvard University in 1999. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Mathematics and a Master’s Degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, complemented by a Master of Arts in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the same institution.
