Sadegh Nadimi

Sadegh Nadimi is an experienced academic and industry professional currently serving as the Degree Programme Director of Civil Engineering Masters and Senior Lecturer in Geotechnical Engineering at Newcastle University since March 2019. In addition to these roles, Sadegh is the Founder and Director of Ocular Systems and an External Examiner at the University of Birmingham for various MSc programs. Since January 2023, Sadegh has also held the position of Associate Editor of Géotechnique for the Institution of Civil Engineers. Prior to current positions, Sadegh worked as a Research Fellow in Tribology of Particulate Solids at the University of Leeds and as a Geotechnical Engineer at Barsoo Engineering Co. Sadegh holds a Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering from City St George’s, University of London, and an M.Sc. in Geotechnical Engineering from Newcastle University, along with a recent Executive Leadership qualification from the University of Oxford.
