Alan Reid

Alan Reid is an experienced legal academic currently serving as an Associate Professor in Law at the University of Bradford since November 2023. Prior to this role, Alan held the position of Senior Lecturer in Law at Sheffield Hallam University from January 2013 to January 2024, and has also worked as a Lecturer in Law at Les Roches Gruyère University of Applied Science, Edinburgh Napier University, and Robert Gordon University. Additional teaching experience includes a Tutor in IT Law at the University of Stirling and multiple Lecturer roles in various law disciplines. Alan's educational background includes a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Commercial Law from Robert Gordon University, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Human Rights from Åbo Akademi University, and a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in Scots Law from the University of Dundee, among other qualifications. Alan's expertise spans multiple areas of law, including EC Law and Media Law.
