Ellie Thompson

Ellie Thompson is an accomplished communications professional currently serving as the Employee Communications and Engagement Officer at the University of Brighton since April 2025. Previously, Ellie held the position of Head of Communications at Diversity and Ability from August 2019 to April 2025, where leadership in strategic communication initiatives emphasized accessibility, inclusion, and social justice. Throughout a diverse career, Ellie has developed and delivered communications across multiple platforms, fostered stakeholder engagement, and supported marginalized young people through roles at IntoUniversity and various volunteer positions focusing on mental health and education. Ellie holds a Master's degree in Experimental Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Jurisprudence from the University of Sussex and the University of Oxford, respectively.
