Andrew Thorne is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of Calgary since March 2024. Prior to this role, Andrew served as an Associate Practitioner at NHS from April 2016 to July 2017, working in the medical genetics laboratory department at the University Hospital of Wales, which provided all-Wales genetics services. Andrew's earlier experience includes a position as a Technician at Cardiff University from September 2015 to April 2016, contributing to the Wales Gene Park by supporting next generation sequencing efforts in medical genetics. Andrew holds a Doctoral degree in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Sciences from the University of Calgary (2017-2024) and a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Biochemistry from Aberystwyth University (2012-2015). Andrew completed A levels in Chemistry, Maths, Biology, and the Welsh Baccalaureate at Cyfarthfa High School (2007-2012).
