Eli Draizen

Eli Draizen is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California, San Francisco, focusing on developing conditional protein diffusion models and enhancing the Integrative Modeling Platform with PyTorch/Pyro. Previously, as a PhD Candidate at the University of Virginia, Eli created a Python framework for assessing physico-chemical properties of proteins and developed explainable deep generative models. Experience includes positions such as a Machine Learning Intern at VantAI, where deep learning methods were utilized for protein degradation, and a Predoctoral Fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where Eli designed CRISPR/Cas9 gene knockouts and advanced deep learning techniques for protein interactions. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia, with prior studies at Boston University and a B.S. in Bioinformatics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
